September 25: Amnesty Canada – virtual event:  a conversation with Chief Dsta’hyl

September 25th: Amnesty International Canada will host a virtual event: a conversation with Chief Dsta’hyl

Chief Dsta’hyl, will be in conversation with Amnesty Canada (English) Secretary General, Ketty Nivyabandi and France-Isabelle Langlois, Directrice générale of Amnistie internationale Canada francophone.

On July 31, Amnesty International made the unprecedented decision to designate Likhts’amisyu Clan Wing Chief Dsta’hyl of the Wet’suwet’en Nation as the first-ever Amnesty International prisoner of conscience in Canada. Our announcement took the Canadian media by storm and put a spotlight on the ordeal that Chief Dsta’hyl is enduring.

Join us to honour Chief Dsta’hyl and to hear from him in his own words. We hope you can make it!  The virtual conversation will take place in both English and French.
