June 20th: World Refugee Day in Saskatoon

Please come and join us for World Refugee Day on June 20 at 11:45am in Civic Square (next to City Hall at 23rd Street East) to honour, learn from and celebrate those who have come here as refugees and made Saskatoon their home.

The City of Saskatoon works with settlement organizations, Amnesty International and private sponsorship agreement holders through the Saskatoon Refugee Coalition to coordinate an event every year. This year the theme is “Finding Freedom”. There will be speakers talking about their refugee experience as well as performers (dancers and singers). The intent is always to bring about awareness of both the challenges and the successes of refugees and what they add to our communities across Canada and the world.

Please help make this a success by inviting your friends on Facebook using this event
