We are very pleased to announce plans are well underway for our third annual “Get Active with Amnesty 2014″ – an Amnesty International Saskatchewan Regional Conference,  scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2014.

This Conference will be held in Humboldt at Westminster United  United Church.

This will be a great opportunity for people who share an interest in Amnesty International’s human rights work to connect with other activists in Saskatchewan.   There is no cost to attend the conference.

This year we are very pleased three special guests will be attending and assisting with workshops:

– Johsa Manzanilla, from the Board of Directors Amnesty International Canada

– Jackie Hansen, AI Canada’s staff campaigner responsible for the ‘Stop Torture’ Campaign and Gender Rights,

and Lily Mah-Sen, AI Canada’s Membership Activism Team.

The Conference will provide opportunities for Amnesty and community members to learn about current human rights issues, build their skills as activists, and get more involved and active with Amnesty International.
