December 2nd: Regina: Women from South Sudan and Saskatchewan on Healing and Peace

Saturday, December 2nd from 7pm to 9pm at Knox Met Church, 2340 Victoria Avenue, Regina –

Join us for a panel discussion on healing, peace, and activism against gender-based violence with women from South Sudan and Canada. Moderated by Yordanos Tesfamariam of the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, the panel will include Agnes Wasuk Petia and Awak Deng of the National Women’s Program of the South Sudan Council of Churches and women’s rights defenders working in Treaty 4 Territory, including: Brenda Dubois, Mirtha Rivera, and Crystal Giesbrecht.


No Más II is a 16-day educational tour between November 24 and December 10, 2017, featuring representatives from the South Sudan Council of Churches (SSCC) National Women’s Programme, a KAIROS funded partner.

The tour coincides with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence which begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends on December 10, International Human Rights Day. The tour will highlight the women, peace and security work of the KAIROS Women of Courage Program.
