We don’t have our own event planned, but a fundraiser for Standing Rock is happening in Regina on Sunday, September 18: https://www.facebook.com/events/1063219707125415/. If we hear of any events happening elsewhere in the province, we will share!

Hi, I am wondering if we can start something and push to make it illegal to throw away food. It would make a major differnce in so many peoples lives in Canada. I am in saskatoon.

Hi Krystal… thanks for your question about a very important concern, while this isn’t a project or campaign Amnesty International is involved in you might be able to find some friends who are interested in working on this – as a suggestion it maybe that a local project that addresses how to use food rather than throwing it away would be a good way to start.

Hi folks, I am continuing to build an Amnesty Group in Yorkton. Our first meeting of the season is this coming Tuesday, Sept 12th at 7:00 pm. We meet at St. Andrews United Church 29 Smith St. East. For more information please phone Roland Legge 306 620-7478 or email me at rolandlegge@gmail.com. We plan to meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Please double check with me before attending in case a meeting date has been changed.
